What Makes Appointments Take Longer
Missing vaccination records
If you don't have documentation of prior vaccines, your civil surgeon may need to order titer tests or administer catch-up vaccines on the spot. This adds time and cost.
Abnormal findings
If the physical exam or lab results reveal something requiring follow-up — such as a positive TB test or abnormal lab value — additional appointments may be needed before your Form I-693 can be completed.
